For over 35 years, native born Montana artist, Jim Dick has been creating original Western oil paintings of mountains, rivers, valleys, and plains. Desiring to capture a "sense of place" through the interplay of light, value, and color in his Realist paintings, Jim begins each of his Regionalism oil paintings with an on-location plein air study.
